Should I makeover my fur?

Yes. Remaking a fur can make it fashionable again. Today’s styles are more casual, light-weight and versatile.

How do I select a new style?

Bring your fur in to us or email a picture. We will suggest 3-4 styles based on what looks good and fits your lifestyle.

What is shearing?

Shearing is the process of removing the longer guard hairs of the fur to make it smoother, more casual and less bulky.

Why should I make my fur reversible?

Making a fur reversible increases its versatility. We have many fabrics from which to select.

Can a mink stole be restyled?

Yes. Mink stoles can be restyled into vests, used to trim a cloth stroller or cape, or made into accessories.

What can I do with any leftover fur?

Leftovers can be used to make hats, headbands, scarves, hand bags, fur trimmed gloves, caplets and even teddy bears.

What can I do if my fur does not fit?

Bring it in or send it to us so it can be re-sized. One of our furriers will make it fit just right.

What are my other options if I don’t want to restyle my fur?

Bring it Fur can be resold or donated to non-profit organizations. We accept furs behalf of The House of Ruth of Maryland.

How much does it cost to restyle a fur?

Restyling a fur costs 25% to 33% of the price of a new one of like quality.
